This week, apart from the residents, there was another dj warming up as well: Madraassoo (resident of Razzmatazz in Barcelona), who also dj'd at Ibiza Rocks House afterwards.

Wolf Alice were originally announced as the opening band for The 1975 but two weeks ago were replaced by the brilliant Swim Deep. Like Peace, with whom they've been compared and which we'll be seeing in the same stage in september, they come from Birmingham and have just one album under their belt, the impressive Where The Heaven Are We (2013). From the first to the last one, all the songs are seriously addictive, with those summery feel good vibes... go check it out!

The four piece, with an additional touring member on keyboards, played "Francisco", "Honey" (with the line take your feet dancing shoes, and go crazy!), "Red Lips I Know", the stunning "The Sea", "She Changes The Weather" and "King City" along with some non-album tracks, new material for the next record I suppose. Shame they could only play for 40 minutes so we didn't hear "Make My Sun Shine" or the gorgeous "Soul Trippin" (their cover of "Down By The Seaside" by Led Zeppelin would've been nice too but that would be asking too much).

I loved them and I hope to have the chance to see them again playing a longer set. Actually, this week was one of those cases in which I enjoyed the opening band more than the headliner, something that happens a few times every season.

Headlining this week we had The 1975, a band whose rise to stardom has been meteoric and that's heading towards even bigger things. Despite being together since 2002, the Manchester quartet has only released a few EP's and one full-length album (last year's The 1975), which went straight to the number one in the UK albums chart.

Right from the beginning, with the band's grand entrance and eruption into "The City", it was clear all eyes were on frontman Matthew Healy. He and his bandmates presented their self-titled debut album, from which we also heard "M.O.N.E.Y.", "Talk!", "She Way Out", "An Encounter", "Settle Down", "Heart Out" (during which they were joined by a saxophonist), "Pressure", "Menswear"and "Girls", saving for the encore "Robbers", "Chocolate" and "Sex" (these last two probably their most popular songs). In between, they also played various lesser known (but equally good) songs from their EP's.

Great show, both in the quality of the music and the strictly black and white visuals, which emphasized their melancholic music.
