The island is quite special to my girlfriend & I & a wedding on the island is out of the question, so guess this is the next best thing

After some inspiration really if anyone cares to share any experiences or ideas?

An idea I had was to privately hire a boat/yacht & do it during sunset

Thanks in advance

Char

Cap des falco (or whatever it is called now) for sunset, gorgeous. Followed by dinner at Sa Capella.

Or Wips 24hr store at about 5am in the morning if you want it edgy.

yeah either a boat or then go to one of the nicest places for sunset...cap d'es falcó as dirk said (sunset only visible from september onwards), cala d'hort, cala conta etc. or drive up to sa talaia which is also gorgeous for sunset.

My wife and I got engaged at sunset on the millennium outside cafe del mar.

I whisked her away (just the 2 of us) having booked it in the summer ( I had been planning it from summer 1998 )

I knew I was going to ask her but unsure when, we arrived a few days before (after a very nervous phone call to her Mum and Dad to ask permission) then on the way down to cafe del mar on millennium eve 31.12.1999 it hit me that then would be the perfect moment, sunset!!!

I said I had forgotten my wallet and ran back to the hotel to get the ring that was hidden in one of me shoes.

I have never ran so fast as I didn't want to miss sunset.

When I got there cafe del mar was closed so I got drinks from Savannahs.

We took them and set on the beach wall outside cafe del mar.

The sun set and I popped the question...
It took about 10 minuets to get an answer as we were both crying so much...

---

My advice (if I may) would be,

Take your good lady and the ring and what for the magical moment, Ibiza will never let you down

Make it a story you can tell the grandkids!!!

Pete & Sar,
Met - 1996
engaged - 2000
married - 2002
Kids - 2006 / 2007
Family holiday to ibiza and then just the 2 of us later in the year for closing partys (for the 1st time) 2015

---

Don't marry the one you can live with,
Marry the one you can't live without!!!

---

Good luck you two!!!

Pete, Sar & Kids

;-)

Another nice reminder of the occasion would be to get a love lock made and put it on the railings up from Cafe Del Mar/Mambo, then every year you can remember your special moment.

A prize for the first person who can provide a picture of mine (a good weekend treasure hunt for any residents!) It is close to Mint Lounge, date 01/09/2000 and my wife is Nicky (I use my middle name Brian!)

Dirk Brian Bigler!

Thanks for all of these!

After some thought, i'm pretty set on doing it over sunset at sea. Would anyone be able to recommend a good charter company?

Thanks in advance

This is glorious. You could chuck a few euros to a 'lucky lucky' man to put the ring in his plastic sunglasses carrier and bring it over on que. Or pass it to her casually under the table!!

Not being pedantic, but a pet hate is people who call the 'Looky, Looky' Men the 'Lucky, Lucky' Men. Can you please ensure the correct name is used in future?

Apologies for my ignorance. I was unaware of the correct spelling and reason behind their 'title'. Enlighten me.

‘Excuse me young man, I have a fantastic selection of genuine Ray ban sunglasses and umbrella hats that can keep you from burning in this exceptionally hot weather. Would you like a ‘looky looky’ at my fine wares and I promise to guarantee you my best possible price ?’

Apologies for being so pedantic, I used to work as a 'Looky Looky' man for 5 years back in the nineties.

Ah, I see! It's all in the sales pitch. We preferred the term unlicensed mobile pharmacists.

How did you find the job role?
