Busiest night of the season so far, as expected. The buzz about this one was huge and everybody I spoke with the previous days seemed to be attending this week!
Orlando Higginbottom's T.E.E.D. project put up a brilliant show, wearing an indian headdress and accompanied by dancing dinosaur girls (plus the appearance of Louisa from Lulu and the Lampshades to sing "Garden"). His soft spoken voice matches perfectly with the music he plays and I must say I was more impressed by the performance of the opening act than the headliner. Later the young producer also dj'd at the private after party!
And from the new breed to one of electronic music's pioneers. It was about time Norman Cook's alter-ego Fatboy Slim made his debut on the Ibiza Rocks Hotel stage, after having played for Ibiza Rocks in the past. Without any stage paraphernalia, apart from the huge LED screen and the amazing lasers, the funk soul brother got the place rocking with crowd favourites like the opener "Praise you" or "Star 69", which made people go mental!
Amazing night and incredible atmosphere. More of the same next week with the return of a band that seems to have many fans in this forum: Friendly Fires!
Favourite moment: the final "Rockafeller skank/(I can't get no) Satisfaction"
