The hotel's intimate, destination bar and restaurant, Room 39, serves up a classic modern menu with a customary rock and roll twist. Open 7 days a week, the restaurant has seen the bold and beautiful flood through its doors to sample an outstanding selection of ‘Rocktails' and honest, hearty food. Sunday Roast sees rock stars and ‘mock' stars alike turning out weekly to get their taste buds around the best roast on the island. Diners have a choice of beef, lamb or a nut roast, all served family style with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and seasonal fresh vegetables, presented in earthen wear dishes and eaten on hand painted crockery.

the legendary pikes reopened last week and, of course, the spotlight team didn't miss its official opening party. no big changes since last year but there's several new pictures from jerome ferriere hanging from the walls of freddie's bar that kept me entertained for a bit and little details here and there...
this summer expect more rock-related movies and illustrated talks with famous rock photographers, the return of workers' favourite mustachio! (planned for the first saturdays of july-august-september-october) plus many private events. but before all that, the first special event of the season is on may 22nd with welsh author and former drug smuggler howard "mr nice" marks... one not to miss!

Howard Marks avoided the law for twenty years, whilst building one of the biggest drugs smuggling rings in history. In 1988 the American Drug Enforcement Agency finally caught up with Howard and he served seven years of a twenty-five year sentence at America's toughest federal penitentiary.
Howard has been connected with the British Secret Service, the Mafia, the IRA, MI6 and the CIA. This unique and captivating story has been immortalised in his best-selling autobiography ‘Mr. Nice' and Bernard Roses film of the same title, but rarely does an opportunity to arise to get so close to a counterculture icon.
From growing up in South Wales and attending Oxford University to being imprisoned plus all the astonishing secrets and sensational stories in between, Ibiza Rocks House is proud to announce this very special evening hosted by Howard Marks - the man once described as 'the most sophisticated drug baron of all time' and regularly referred to as Mr. Nice.

having enjoyed their famous sunday roast in the past, i was looking forward to sample some of the yummy food on offer in their renovated menu... an experience that surpassed all my expectations. totally loved the smoked duck and foie gras terrine with apple and cider cutney, the char-grilled sesame crusted tuna steak and the baileys chocolate brownie with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream (mouth watering just thinking about it!)... highly recommended!

For 7 weeks, every Friday from 12[SUP]th[/SUP] July – 23[SUP]rd[/SUP] August, Idris Elba will take the reigns and get behind the decks for a special summer residency at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes.

It's here that Idris Elba will set up home and do his ‘7 Wallace' thing – 7 Fridays, 7 weeks with 7 guest DJ's, Driis will bring together his love of throwing a great party and bring friends and unannounced names to spin and party alongside him. He may be best known for his Golden Globe-winning turn in Luther or as Stringer Bell in The Wire, and he's playing the title part in the biopic Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, but music is in this man's heart and seeps through his soul. first in the series of events planned for this summer with the one and only howard marks, who was back on the island after appearing at manumission back in the day. due to all the people expected to turn up they moved it from the usual pool area to the tennis court (btw, used in 2007 by ibiza rocks for the we are scientists gig). simply hilarious ... if you missed it, you missed out!
