Our beautiful yellow Renault 4
2400 €
Ibiza, Spain

Meet our cute little Renault 4 “Happy Yellow Ducky” who is sadly up for sale as we now need 2 cars.
Before us he has only had 1 elderly owner from brand new who loved him very dearly. He is a little tatty but mechanically he is probably one of the best Renault 4’s in Spain!

His engine runs like new, he starts on the button every time, especially after we recently gave him brand new spark plugs, oil, fuel filter and carb clean. Unlike many Renault 4’s, his heater also still works perfectly!
The brake discs and pads have plenty of life left in them, as do all 4 tyres – 2 of which are virtually new.
Super reliable, they don't build them like this anymore!

Ducky is one of the older versions so he has all the nicer bits like the classic dashboard and steering wheel, the nicer wheels with the chrome centre caps and chrome door handles and fuel filler cap.

Thanks to his age – No Road Tax!!

His seats always had seat covers on until we bought him so the seats are like brand new.

Being a car from the 70’s, he has not so good points:
The bodywork is far from showroom condition but he has no rust.
The fuel gauge doesn’t work so we have to guess when to refill and keep a can of petrol in the boot just in case.:D This is a pretty cheap and easy fix. The rubber seals are a little perished around the doors. I have sourced brand new ones for just 80eur and they are super easy to replace but this has never really bothered us.

He truly is an absolute joy to drive. Nothing puts a smile on your face like driving a cheeky classic like Ducky! Surprisingly his little 1.1 engine keeps up with modern traffic very well, even on the dual carriageways and the Ibiza caminos are a breeze!

Only 115,000 km

Come and have a drive, you'll love it :)

  :)

The coordinator of Club 600 Barcelona leaves a pufo of almost 7,000 euros on the island
Denounce to leave unpaid bills in the Caribbean hotel (2,500 euros) in the restaurant Can Bernat (2,650 euros) and Peralta (1,750 euros)

One of the Seat 600 parked at the hotel during your stay Caribbean.

On 14 and 15 May 37 Car Club 600 Barcelona, gathers a group of owners of Seat 600, they toured the island and were even welcomed by the local authorities. The 97 people in the club who traveled to the island stayed at the Caribe hotel the night from 14 to 15 May, ate at the restaurant Can Bernat on May 14 and in Peralta, 15. Three business day today they have not been paid 6,900 euros of bills for these services.

The owners of the two affected restaurants and the hotel manager Caribbean presented themselves yesterday at the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Santa Eulària to file separate complaints against the coordinator of Club 600 Barcelona, Olga Narvaez, since she was the one who organized stays and even he got to display two documents of bank transfers for payments to the two restaurants that have turned out to be false.

Javier Cantero, director of Caribe, acted as spokesman yesterday the three affected businesses. In your case, he explains that "97 people stayed at the hotel the night of May 14 in half board." As stated in the complaint with the coordinator agreed that payment for such stay would occur upon arrival at the hotel. But once there, they avoided making payment with various excuses and said that "abonarían the bill to get back Barcelona", says the director, who trusted his words because the group had been endorsed by the Classic Car Club Ibiza. Anyway, Cantero rushed yesterday to clarify that this Ibizan group "has nothing to do with all this ugly business."

On 14 May, members of the club moved to Ibiza Can Bernat ate in the restaurant. This meal had been organized by the coordinator of Club 600 Barcelona in November 2015, when it agreed with the property that the payment of the food would be held two days before the date. Once in the restaurant, Narvaez presented the owner proof of the transfer by the agreed value, ie 2,650 euros for about 90 people. Two weeks later, the owner came to the bank to request proof of the transfer and noted that it was only 26.50 euros, not 2,560 euros, which, as stated in the complaint, contacted by satellite whatsapp with the reported, which was said to be a mistake that would be remedied. The owner has not yet received the transfer for this amount.

Timo to Peralta
Day 15 very similar facts are repeated, but in the restaurant Peralta. In this case, the coordinator arranged a meal at this establishment in November 2015. As with Can Bernat, they agreed that would make payment of 1,750 euros two days before the date of the food.

The coordinator of the association of classic cars gave the owner a sheet with the bank receipt of the agreed amount. The next day, the owner went to his bank to check the transfer and indicated that it had not received any income. He called the coordinator, who said that it must be a mistake and that it would address.

From then until now, the three affected have contacted the denounced repeatedly. According to officials of business, he has always given long and has put them excuses not to pay for the service. Moreover, to contact the director of Club 600 Barcelona and apparently expareja Narvaez, Jose Manuel Aguilar, he has hinted them that the woman took the money paid by the partners for this trip and that he had no news until then the pufo.

"We want to make public the allegations that this does not happen to any other business", he stressed yesterday Javier Cantero.

Yesterday Diario de Ibiza tried to contact Narvaez, but his phone is disconnected. The Civil Guard has given as untraceable.

... access with car to Cala Salada will be limited from june 1st to sept 30th... About time they do the same in Las Salinas and Es Cavallet, after years and years of talking about it!

Hi all! Just wanted to let you all know that if you're visiting Cala Salada between 10 am and 6 pm, not to use your car.
Parking is prohibited all the way down the road and 20 cars had their tyres slashed at the weekend and 8 yesterday :(

There is a bus every 15 minutes from San Antonio and from Can Coix where there is loads of free parking.

It must be so horrible to walk 3 km uphill in 30 degree heat after a lovely day on the beach to find your tyres slashed and no doubt some car hire companies will milk it

In related news, access with car to Cala Salada will be limited from june 1st to sept 30th... About time they do the same in Las Salinas and Es Cavallet, after years and years of talking about it!

Absolutely. It's a nightmare trying to get past them all in my Qashqai ....

all friends who went to menorca again this season got qashqais !:)

I think they ditched some of the Nissan Jukes because they only had Qashqais left at the airport this year - probably the same in Menorca ! Makes things SO much easier on the Caminos ;) but parking .... well ....

who on his right mind goes to fckng cala salada in main season ???

I was thinking more about Es Cavallet :D

Evening Drivers in Ibiza,

So many more people on the island,
and so many nutters on the roads
that I think its important to share this again.

Visitors from outside of Spain don´t realise the use of roundabouts are different here.
You must never exit from the inside lane, the RIGHT hand-side always takes priority. (It doesn´t make any sense, but thats the law!)

And here´s that wonderful diagram ...:
