Sankeys Ibiza 2014

Fly back out Thursday night and land the early hours of Friday Morning, thinking about popping into CUFF at Sankeys.

Has anyone been to this night or heard of what it's like atmosphere wise and does it get the numbers in?

Also do you think you could get cheap entry to the club arriving in the early morning hours?
 
Can anyone report on how busy Fuse has been this year? Hearing reports that numbers have dwindled but not sure if it's true. Flying out in September and hoping the party is still busy!

definitely less busy than last year. the fact they've moved to tuesday didn't help them as they expected. they thought it'd help them, because they're now not going up against paradise anymore. but the fact is a) tribal sessions is just very attractive and b) last year they always got a big chunk of crowd that continued at FUSE right after tINI & the gang. sadly tINI & the gang is still on wednesdays this year so no fuse-carry on...

Sad to hear, musically one of the best nights on the island for me. Yeah I can imagine the carry on effect would definitely have helped! Is it still relatively busy however? Will be at the residents party in September and kind of worrying about the numbers, lol...

hmm 2nd september you mean yeah? together and defected have strong line ups on that night. on the other hand, it's the only date all summer carl cox isn't at his own night in space...but luciano is instead and the rest of the line up is also pretty alright. hard to guess really, but I wouldn't expect a packed basement for sure.

2014 marks also the 20th anniversary of the world famous and iconic nightclub Sankeys​

Ibiza, 11th August 2014 (Toga Media).- With their 4th season fully underway, we can see more than ever before that Sankeys, Ibiza is rising and doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. It is officially the fastest growing club on the island, up 50% from last year and continuing to rise in such a way that very soon, it really will be the best club in the universe.

Right from the very moment that Sankeys Ibiza released their full weekly programme before the season began, it always looked like 2014 was going to be a special year. With huge names such as Danny Tenaglia, Ricardo Villalobos, Todd Terry, Francois K, Gordon City; DJ Sneak, Derrick May and many more gracing the decks already this season. What has transpired since has totally smashed all expectations, broken all records, and has pleasantly surprised everyone involved.

Both clubbers and press alike have been raving about their experiences at the club, not only in terms of the great musical offerings, but also the attention to detail throughout the club, from the mesmerizing LEDs to the graffiti on the terrace, the new wall of lights in Spektrum to the loudest sound system on the island, Sankey’s really is excelling itself this summer.

There has been an extreme demand for more parties due to the success of all seven nights. Most noticeably is Duke Dumont’s night on Mondays who have now confirmed three additional dates in September, the 8th, 15th and 22nd. More DJs have been drafted in, more parties have been planned and more space is to be opened up. Alongside Duke Dumont every Monday, OpenLab DJs Robert Miles and Alex Wolfenden bring an unforgettable sound to the venue.

Then we have the exciting news that Hot Since 82 has just been added to Tribal Session’s line up for next Wednesday August 13th This party is not to be missed and will defiantly go down a storm in Tribal history!

Due to the success of Amine Edge & DANCE’s night, CUFF, the party will now be opening the LAB every Thursday from the 28th of August until the 2nd of October meaning even more of their alternative music stars can play a mixture of garage, trap and hip hop. Amongst the confirmed names we have Todd Terry and Araabmuzik plus many more to be announced.

Sankeys 20th Anniversary

Sankeys will be hosting 20 events around the world from Peru to Brazil, Japan to Switzerland and Croatia to NYC. It will also be putting on its biggest event to date, a 20,000 capacity festival. Think big though, because Sankeys only deals in the best as they have proved over the last two decades. This summer we also see the release of a very special Sankeys 20th Anniversary mix CD that has been put together live in the club, by resident DJ Darius Syrossian. The first disc includes all new and exclusive Syrossian tracks and the second is a collection of classics that have defined the club over the years. This is a project that really captures the very essence of Sankeys.

Last but not least, there have been 20 changes made to the club in Ibiza. Details of these will only be made known to those who make the trip down to experience The Lab, Basement and Spektrum.

David Vincent says on the eve of the 20th anniversary: “At this moment in time, I can safely say that Sankeys Ibiza is the number one club in the world right now. In the last 20 years of my career I have been involved in four of the best nightclubs in the world, The Hacienda, Ministry Of Sound and Pacha Ibiza in the 90’s and Sankeys Manchester in the noughties. All these clubs at some point during these periods were recognized as being the best clubs in the world. Comparing Sankeys Ibiza to these clubs, I can safely say we are the best and I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved in the last 20 years.”

Amine Edge & Dance were boss, busy basement. MK turned up unannounced and dropped "Push The Feeling" behind the decks, then came down to the crowd and had a dance for a good hour.

Also, just saw this on Darius Syrossians facebook page...really wish I was in Ibiza for this one!
