No availability...hotels that do have rooms are charging about £1500 for 10 nights?!?!

Well over £1000 for the holiday equivalent of a substandard travel lodge. Uhmm nah.

Consider Calo d'es Moro ... seeing as it's reportedly free of the booze and booty crowd in San An this year might be worth a shot. Should be no more than about £45/night even in peak for a decent hotel shared between two, or about £60/night single.

I think you left it a bit late for "decent" accomodation of good value. They all go quite early on thanks to tripadvisor etc

I wound up living out of a car for 4 days in August 2012 because the hotels were so stupidly expensive - over £100/night single for an absolute West End shitpad and anywhere decent booked up. Just flat refused to throw that sort of money at places like that.

Would think twice about doing it again, mind ! :confused: ... maybe with a Campervan, but a hatchback's a bit of a dodgy one :D
