New Car Launch

As advanced previously, Renault, the giant French car manufacturer, has decided to launch
its new small, two-seater, electric car in Ibiza and the Island has been awash with ‘Twizies'
since last week.

The company's aim is to take over the streets of the principle cities in the world,
but one drawback is that it only has a battery life of approximately one hundred kilometres.
Several recharging points have been installed throughout the Island for these fun vehicles
to ‘fill up'.

The groups' headquarters are in the Ocean Drive Hotel near Botafoc Marina which,
in automobile ‘speak', has been branded to such an extent that it will be difficult
for the seven hundred media representatives to forget why they are in Ibiza.

Every day some forty specialist journalists from all over the world attend the presentation
and so far representatives from several European countries have been joined by their
counterparts from Japan.
According to Marc Rahola Matutes, the proprietor of the establishment, “This is a magnificent
opportunity to promote the Island, especially at this time of year. The same thing happened
with Volkswagen when they launched two new small cars at the end of 2010,
and now it is the turn of Renault”.

Several routes have been mapped out, including the narrow cobbled streets of Dalt Vila,
to put the car through its paces. The representatives will also be able to travel further afield
and forty recharging points have been installed at the Cala Bassa Beach Club,
to give the horse its hay while the drivers are lunching!

Not surprisingly, due to the lack of direct flights to and from the Island this winter,
Renault has been forced to charter private planes to transport the various groups
of journalists
to the launch of their new Twizy.

but leads can reach 160 kilometers per hour.
In the surf water surface and submerged, developing both a speed of about three knots
and a range capability of three hours.

As an open car, the problems of pressure on the vehicle structure is simplified.
This forces the occupants to make use of oxygen stored in the car itself to get
through a scuba mask.

For now, Rinspeed does not arise on the market, although it is certainly one of its most
spectacular claims to demonstrate the technological capacity it handles.

and so far had been tested only in fresh waters, specifically the source of a river in Florida,
but never in salt water. This circumstance forced to make a new configuration of its buoyancy.

The car of James Bond
The owner explained that the occurrence of building this car was based
on a simple idea:
"Everybody knows James Bond and the film 'The Spy Who Loved Me',
and has seen that car is converted, then do we think the real one This represents
a dream for the people. "
Add the fact that electricity is part of the philosophy of his company and the realization
that the mobility of the future will not emit gases into the atmosphere.
He insisted that the exclusivity of the prototype is that it can navigate under water
while other models are just as much amphibians come to rest on the seabed.
